A website made with AI: what it will never do for you

A website made with AI takes minutes. A few jobs stay yours no matter how good the AI gets, and knowing which ones saves you trouble later.

Desk with a laptop, a notebook with sketches and a cup of coffee.

A website made with AI takes minutes now. Nobody is impressed by that anymore.

What catches people out is what they find when they read it properly.

The AI writes quickly and it writes well. Still, there are a handful of jobs it can't do for your business, however much it improves.

If you don't know which ones, you find out the hard way: a customer calls about a price you never set, or turns up during hours you no longer keep. Here they are, one by one, with what Easy and Fast Web does about each.

What does a website made with AI do, and what doesn't it do?

A website made with AI writes the copy, arranges the sections and suggests images from the details you give it. It can't know anything about your business you haven't told it, photograph your premises, give you legal advice or guarantee you a place on Google. Those four stay with you.

The AI can The AI can't
Write clear copy about your services, area and opening hours Know your prices, hours or history unless you supply them
Lay the site out so it reads well on a phone Photograph your shop or your work
Fill gaps with illustrative images when you have no photos Check whether your legal notice fits your line of work
Produce a new version when you ask for changes Promise you the top spot on Google

The AI only knows what you tell it

This is the limit people forget most often. An AI has never been inside your shop and has no idea you close at lunchtime on Tuesdays.

It works from what you give it. Give it little and it writes in generalities, and generic copy could belong to any garage or clinic in town.

That's why Easy and Fast Web starts with a questionnaire instead of a one-line prompt: your services in your customers' words, your area, your hours, how you want people to get in touch. The more specific you are there, the more the site sounds like you.

Three details change the result more than anything else:

  1. Your services, named the way customers name them. "Oil and filter change" beats "complete maintenance solutions".
  2. Who you work for: households, companies, local families, visitors.
  3. What a visitor should do next: call, message you on WhatsApp, request an appointment or come round.

If you want to get the most out of each attempt, we cover that in how to build a website with AI for free.

What an AI must never make up on your website

This is the real risk with an AI-built site. Left unchecked, a model fills empty spaces with things that sound plausible.

Opening hours that look reasonable. A "since 2010" nobody mentioned. Customer reviews that never happened.

Each of those becomes your problem. Someone arrives while you're closed, someone asks for the price they saw on your site, or a fake review gets spotted and makes you look bad.

Here's how Easy and Fast Web handles it:

  • Anything you leave blank is left out. No addresses, phone numbers, prices, hours or claims you didn't provide.
  • No detail, no button. Without a phone number there's no call button, without an address there's no map, and without a link to your booking system the "Book" button doesn't appear.
  • Every proposal is checked before you see it, by a separate evaluation model that reviews its quality.

Read it yourself anyway. You're the one who knows whether the hours are right or whether you still offer that service.

There are three areas where AI helps little or not at all.

Photos first. An AI can generate images, but it can't show your shop. On our sites you can upload your logo and some photos of your own, and they take their place ahead of any generated image. Gaps you don't fill get AI-generated images, which are illustrative and labelled as such on the site. If one of your photos is adjusted with AI so it fits, it carries an "Image edited with AI" notice and you can switch back to the original from your dashboard.

Legal pages are next. The AI doesn't write your legal notice or privacy policy. We generate them from templates and the owner details you give us, and those details are never sent to the AI. They are templates, though, and reviewing them for your kind of business is your job. We don't give legal advice.

Then there's Google. No website, AI-built or handmade, is guaranteed the top spot, and anyone who promises it is misleading you. For local searches your Business Profile carries a lot of weight, as we explain in how to show up on Google Maps as a local business.

Does Google penalise websites made with AI?

Not for being made with AI. Google said so on its developer blog in February 2023: it rewards helpful, high-quality content however it is produced. What breaks its rules is using automation to churn out content mainly to manipulate rankings.

For a local business site, that comes down to three practical checks. The site should talk about your actual business, with your services and your area. The details should be correct and match your Google profile. And it shouldn't be padded with sentences that could describe anyone.

After launch: what the AI keeps doing

Once you've bought the site you get 3 tickets a month. Each one covers generating or editing a version with AI, or a request to support. New versions go live after a person has reviewed them.

The AI doesn't watch your business for you. If you change your hours or your prices, the site won't notice until you ask for the change.

The site also doesn't include an online shop or a booking engine of its own. If you already use an online booking tool, the site links to it.

See your AI website before you decide anything

The useful part of an AI-built site is that you can see it finished before you pay.

With Easy and Fast Web you get 3 free generations once you verify your email, with no card required. You fill in the questionnaire, the AI builds the site and you get a link you can share with anyone. If you like it, publishing it is paid, and you see the price in your dashboard before you decide. It goes live at an address like yourbusiness.easyandfastweb.com; your own domain is optional and you buy it separately.

Have a look at the examples and the FAQ first. Then generate your first version and read it the way a stranger would.

Frequently asked questions

Can people tell a website was made with AI?

They can when it's generic: sentences that could fit any business and no concrete details. When the site has your services, your area, your hours and your photos, what people notice is your business.

Can the AI make up details about my business?

An unchecked AI can fill gaps with plausible details. With Easy and Fast Web, anything you leave blank is left out, so no prices, hours, phone numbers or claims you didn't provide get published. Check every proposal before you buy it all the same.

Does Google penalise AI-generated websites?

Not for using AI. Google looks at whether content is helpful and of good quality, whatever produced it. Generating content in bulk to manipulate search results is against its rules.

At Easy and Fast Web it isn't written by AI. It's generated from templates and the owner's details, which aren't sent to the AI. Reviewing it and adapting it to your business is up to you.

Can I use my own photos on a website made with AI?

Yes. You can upload your logo and some photos of your own, and they take priority over generated images. AI-generated images are illustrative and labelled as such.
